Agreed
conclusions put forward, among others, the need to address issues related to
violence against women, sexual and reproductive rights, unpaid labour, women’s
empowerment and ownership of assets and land. The agreed conclusions also call
for the need for a stand-alone goal on gender equality and women's empowerment
in the post-2015 development agenda, and a mainstreaming of gender equality in
all other goals. Violence against women was stressed as a crucial target area,
and its elimination, a global priority.
